Besides the traditional Arab-Barb horses, this is quite an unusual stables, made up exclusively of mares, including three tall Moroccan Riding Horses (of French, Belgian and German origins). Perfectly trained and broken-in by our host, these horses have great endurance and are able to sustain long trots and canters.
Maximum weight of rider: 100 kg
RIDING ABILITY & PACE
For confirmed riders comfortable riding outdoors at all paces.
There are no particular difficulties but the daily 5 hour ride requires good physical fitness. Good trots and canters whenever possible.
Children over 15 years old, accompanied by an adult are welcome on this trip. They must know about horses’ care, maintenance, needs, pace and behaviour. They must be able to control their horse at all paces (walk, trot and canter) outdoors and over various terrains.
We advise occasional riders to get back in the saddle before departure.
High-quality English and French saddles.

The Moroccan team, in charge of horse care and administration, comes from the region and shares the ranch owner’s passion for horses and for the country.

MEALS & ACCOMMODATION
Nestled in a valley in southwest Morocco, the ranch provides all modern amenities in a refined Moroccan setting. The guests and owner’s bedrooms have traditional Moroccan architecture, surrounding a patio shaded by a majestic orange tree. All four spacious and tastefully decorated bedrooms include a private and fully equipped bathroom.
The stables, at a little distance from the guesthouse, are built in the traditional U-shaped style around a courtyard.
During your stay, you will spend 3 nights at the ranch and 4 nights camping, at carefully selected sites. You will be served hot meals everyday, introducing you to the flavours of typical Moroccan cuisine.
Located between the Atlantic Ocean and the Anti Atlas Mountains, this region enjoys a pleasant and relatively moderate climate all year round. Temperatures are mild, particularly in spring and autumn and hot summers are freshened by the cool ocean breeze (in July and August).
From November to April, temperatures are relatively mild, although it can be quite cold at night. Rainfall generally occurs during the months of October to November and April to May.
You will be taken care of from the moment you arrive at the airport until the moment you leave.
Your host and his wife will welcome you to the ranch where they settled over four years ago.
A former instructor at some great stud farms in France and qualified by the French National Federation, he will accompany you during the whole trek.
His wife, who is a very skilled horse rider as well as an amazing cook, will make sure you feel at home.
The Moroccan team, in charge of horse care and administration, comes from the region and share the owners’ passion for horses and for the country.
All luggage will be transported and waiting for you when you arrive at the end of each day.
During the trek, you will only take along your personal and essential belongings for the day (warm clothes, windcheater jacket, sun cream, water, camera, etc.)
Bring equipment and clothing according to the season, without forgetting the essentials:
For the nights camping at a bivouac, bear in mind the wide temperature range when choosing your sleeping bag. A silk sleeping bag liner is easy to pack and will provide you with extra warmth.
If you are particularly sensitive to the cold, wearing thermal sleepwear (although not particularly flattering!), with a wool hat and a warm pair of socks will allow you to fully enjoy the nights sleeping outdoors under the stars.
You will be provided with foam mattresses and extra blankets if necessary.
Before and after your stay, you will have the opportunity to extend your trip (one or more days) to discover this interesting and diverse region:
