A great day for those who need to prepare for a trek, or get back on the saddle after a long time, as well as horse lovers who wish to discover horse riding and share enjoyable rides with friends, or enjoy a relaxing weekend in the countryside. During this one-day ride in the forest of Orléans, you will have the opportunity to practice your riding skills in a beautiful and relaxing landscape.

You will be welcomed to the equestrian centre at 9.30am and then visit the stables, discussing what you would like to achieve during the day.
Your horse will be chosen for you depending on your level of ability, and then you will get your horse ready for this morning’s lesson in the outdoor or indoor arena, depending on the weather. You will have an hour and a half session in the saddle, practicing varied exercises at different paces to get your confidence up or to improve your abilities.
Once you have taken care of your horse, you can have your lunch inside or outside, depending on the weather. Bring a packed lunch (fridge at your disposition).
At around 2pm, we will get the horses ready to set off on a two hour ride at three paces through the wide wooded avenues of the forest. Return to the equestrian centre at the end of the day, around 5.30pm.
Various breeds (Selle Français, Anglo-Arab, Trotters) of different levels and builds so that each rider can find a horse to suit them. Ponies available for children.
For beginners or occasional riders who wish to get (or get back) in the saddle and be comfortable riding outside at all paces. Children from the age of six, accompanied by an adult, can also participate in this day. The pace of the lesson and the ride is adapted according to the riders’ level of ability.

Your instructor and your guide during your ride are both state qualified instructors. Young and enthusiastic, the will share their passion for horses and riding with you in a fun and dynamic setting.

Lunch is not included in the cost. Bring a packed lunch. A fridge is available for your lunch and drinks. You can eat at the large table inside at the club, or outdoors, depending on the weather.
The Loiret region has a temperate, oceanic climate with mild, rainy winters and cool and relatively humid summers.
Jodhpurs or comfortable trousers
Riding boots or boots and mini chaps or comfortable shoes, preferably with a small heel, that are not too wide in order to fit the stirrups. Avoid flat soles that can slip in the stirrups. Waterproof jacket for the afternoon ride.
Loan of riding hat, crop and all grooming material at the centre.
If you would like to extend your stay in this beautiful countryside, we can suggest different activities in the forest or along the banks of the Loire: bike rides, walks, boating or canoeing along the Loire, etc.
These activities can be organised for non-riders in parallel with the equestrian activities of the riders.
For history buffs, a day trip and night at Orléans, a town at the heart of the history of the kingdom of France with its most illustrious feat of battle being its liberation by Joan of Arc in 1429.
